Job Summary:


A mid-sized food processing company in Fresno, CA is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial planning, risk management, and growth strategy. This executive will oversee all aspects of financial operations, cost control, capital investments, and regulatory compliance, ensuring long-term profitability and operational efficiency in a competitive food manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute financial strategies to optimize revenue growth, cost control, and capital allocation.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
  • Lead cost accounting, inventory management, and margin analysis to improve profitability.
  • Manage banking relationships, financing options, and capital investment planning for equipment and facility expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and other food safety and financial regulations.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement financial risk management policies, including commodity pricing strategies.
  • Lead and develop the finance, accounting, and procurement teams.
  • Provide financial insights to the CEO and Board of Directors for strategic decision-making.


Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in food processing, agribusiness, or manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Strong background in cost accounting, supply chain finance, and capital investment planning.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, pricing strategies, and commodity risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Plant Manager, Chemical Manufacturing - Chicago, IL

 

Job Summary:


A family-owned chemical manufacturing company in Chicago, IL is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee production, safety, and operational efficiency. This leader will be responsible for manufacturing processes, workforce management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring a safe and profitable operation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily plant operations, including production, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other environmental and safety regulations.
  • Manage plant budgets, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to optimize processes.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and capital projects.
  • Develop and mentor production supervisors and frontline staff.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize raw material sourcing and distribution.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards (ISO, GMP, or similar).
  • Drive a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.


Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of plant management experience in chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Strong understanding of chemical production, safety regulations, and process improvement.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and hazardous materials compliance.
  • Proven track record of leadership, problem-solving, and workforce development.
